Details
Parrogate Ginneries - a Zambian giant in food products and confectionery, was launching the country's biggest lollypop - almost twice the size of the regular candy. They partnered with us for the branding and packaging of these lip-smacking treats.
Approach & Execution
We started off with the name - for which, we drew a reference from Zambia's largest mammal - the Zambian elephant - whose genus name is 'Loxodonta'. Hence, Loxo Pops!
We then designed the logo with a big, puffy typeface that captured the madness of the brand. As a bonus, we also found a way to include an actual lollypop in the logo itself.
Then we moved onto the packaging design, showcasing Loxo in various situations having the time of his life. We made him fun, zingy, electric, playful, and more, with each illustration depicting a different breed of fun.
Each of the 12 flavours were designed and packaged, with a visual system that felt distinct yet connected to the original brand - building an inimitable presence for Loxo on retail shelves.
